Sanur beach on Bali
Sanur - a former fishing village, located 6 miles southeast of Denpasar, is now considered to be one of the most developed resorts of Bali. The main advantage of the area is its 3 miles long white sand beach protected from the ocean waves by coral reefs. Sanur has long been a popular destination for private villa vacations – the area offers a range of accommodations, including ocean view, and it is very close to all the benefits of the civilization: restaurants, shops, massage and SPA- salons. Just 20 minutes drive from Sanur is Seminyak where you can visit nightclubs and do some shopping in trendy boutiques.
Along the entire stretch of the Sanur beach stand 5 and 4 -star hotels where you can go for your entertainment and even for a round of golf at the Grand Bali Beach hotel. Numerous cafes and restaurants cater for every taste. Some places have live music sessions at night with Indonesian traditional and international music and live shows by the Balinese dancers.
Sanur is one of the main points of departure for various sightseeing tours: from there you can go to any point of the island, as well as sail off on fishing trips and to surfing and diving spots.
In the northern part of Sanur Beach you can find Museum Le Mayeur – the former residence of the Belgian artist Adrien Jean Le Mayeur (1880-1958).
Sanur’s secure and well-groomed beach, the absence of noisy nightlife and its well-developed infrastructure make Sanur a relaxing resort suitable for families with children. It is a hugely popular vacation destination for the tourists from Europe. In Sanur there are a few good English-medium schools and nurseries which your kids can join even during a short holiday stay. Here you will find spacious and comfortable villas where you can spend an unforgettable holiday with your family enjoying the sun, the ocean and the fresh air.
