The tiny fishing village Jimbaran is only a few miles south from the international airport. In the last ten years it has miraculously transformed from into a cozy and peaceful little resort. Jimbaran is the most respectable of all tourist centres of Bali. The best hotels (Four Seasons, Intercontinental, Keraton) enliven the shores of Jimbaran laid with soft and golden sand. Fruit and vegetable market is booming at the crossroads in the centre of the village, and right in front of it, under a huge sacred tree, stands an ancient temple Pura Ulun Siwi (XI century AD) . At the other end of the beach, the side that is closer to the airport, you can find the famous Jimbaran fish market which you can visit to admire the magnificent diversity of the underwater inhabitants of the Indian Ocean and get a great bargain on dozens of species of fish and seafood. The market is always a fresh catch and offers goods at a low cost (remember you can negotiate the price!!!), so you can safely choose your fish of a lobster and bring it to a nearby restaurant where they cook it for you for a reasonable price.
Staying in a private villa in Jimbaran is the perfect choice. Clean beach, many restaurants and shops, close proximity to major attractions of Bali (Uluwatu Temple, National Park Garuda -GWK), fish market. The airport and the 24/7 entertainment of Kuta are just 20 minutes drive from the place. Bali’s cult beaches for advanced and experienced surfers – Uluwatu , Dreamland and Balangan are all 20 minutes drive to the south.
